Humans want to socialize around what they do. A decent social network on the internet would roughly try to get people to discuss artifacts on the internet they orsomeone created. But because of the nature of cognition limiting people from frequently switching to different reading and writing surfaces, people would want to write on surfaces that are social despite frustration around the lack of a dedicated surface.
